A Case of the Pinks

I'm such a delinquent with blogging. It's a lovely day...instead of the blues, I've got the pinks.
I like groups of things, girls, so I tend to paint small pieces in sets of threes, fours, fives and, like what will be with the Postcard Girls, many more than five.
These three are watercolour on pale pink board.
I've noticed a few new visitors lately...Thanks for stopping by!

A Certain Time-less-ness

I've had a week to do nothing but go to class and run errands and I have had no time. As predicted. I thought I might have had some time to sleep; nothing doing. As much as I've had no time to blog, I've had time to paint.
This is Miss Maisie.

Hope you're well.

Dream Girl

Hope you're having a great day. Had a particularly fruitful night -- met Eulalie a few weeks ago; finished her last night.

Eye Candy and Magic

Candy Preview

So...school has begun. My head's is spinning. Life is quickly changing. I look back on yesterday and think, "Why did I feel like that?"

I had a magical night though. Went to the Yard for the launch of 12 the Band's long awaited album. It was fantastic! It was my first 12 show, I'm unashamed to admit, and I was blown away. With that, here's a look at the music video for Prosper. The animation is done by Wendell McShine.

The piece above is a new postcard girl (photographed by RW). She's a part of a series I'm doing; I call them Eye Candy sometimes. I love bursts of colour and the matte quality of her skin -- makes me want to gorge my eyes full of colour and texture.

Rain and Watercolours

rain and watercolour 1rain and watercolour 2

We're in the midst of the rainy season here -- humidity, rain, floods and general discomfort at times. A sudden shower on Sunday ended with the Boy and I and the garden hose running around the house, soaked to the bones and laughing at our foolishness. I, not a fan of the rain, enjoyed myself.

Maybe I want some sunshine and a cool breeze, maybe I want a new tree to climb or a new song to which I could dance...I'm not sure.

I'm digging these today; 'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' and 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.' -- Thanks Bee!
